GET2COP app for iPhone and iPad

GET2COP helps empower individuals to virtually be part of the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP), as stakeholders in Climate Change. GET2COP counts user steps and converts them into distance to move the users chosen avatar along a route from the user’s location (anywhere in the world) to the location of COP.

Steps and distance data can be collected via Apple Health and third party apps and devices such as Fitbit and Strava. Alternatively, users can add steps manually. GET2COP enables a user to select a climate icon (from 16 choices) for their (virtual) journey, make a pledge to reduce their emissions to a minimum (not compulsory), and get the user (virtually) to COP.

GET2COP enables users to join others by forming or joining groups with friends, families, villages, towns, cities, schools, colleges, universities, companies and countries. When users (virtually) arrive at COP they receive a congratulations screen and are included in participation data delivered to the policymakers at COP.

The GET2COP dashboard enables users to view their progress, access interactive maps, view searchable leaderboards, track steps, and manage their profile. Schools, Universities, Colleges and Companies can upload their own logos as avatars.
